I have adored my Virginia Johnson gray and ivory poppy merino shawl for the past couple months — I don't leave home without it. So I'm thrilled that she's created a line of summer shawls. One might initially scoff at the very idea, but really, how often have you gone to a movie or restaurant or on an airplane and been completely freezing? Not to mention all the overly chilly offices out there. The lighterweight wool gauze scarf is a good solution.
My only problem is choosing among the three styles and many colors. Note: I don't love the Plates version (as in techtonic plates) mostly because something so fluid, draping around the body, seems as if it should also have a curvilinear pattern, rather than something as stark and angular as the Plates pattern. Just a thought.
If anyone actually sees the green version in the flesh, I'd be interested to know whether it's more olive or kelly or lime or forest or what.
