Sometimes you just have to follow the links.
Here’s what I mean. Yesterday I saw this fun post and picture on Twitter by the awesome Alison of Wardrobe Oxygen. She was talking about a beautiful, colorful skirt and the process through which she found and bought it. Cool.
I love how she looks in her photos, but that particular skirt is not for me. Then I clicked on another link in her article, for a different skirt. Both were from Etsy. I like finding cool stuff on Etsy — not necessarily because they’re less expensive (they’re not always!) but because they’re often unusual, and I love that. Sooooo, the skirt she linked to was an Ankara print that I liked a lot, but it wasn’t available any more. (She also has this cool skirt.)
Etsy helpfully suggests things you might like once you start searching, and after poking around a little bit, and seeing plenty I didn’t love, I found this store. And I LOVE the things in this store.
How about this dress?!
Keep poking around, and there’s plenty of amazing Ankara print dresses and skirts. How about this cute skirt?
Or this pleated one:
You get the idea.
By the way, I am not sure I would have even stopped to really look at Alison’s skirt (so bright! so colorful!) had I not recently been converted to the way of bright color with this dress which I bought here. I can’t get enough of it.
